THE ORIGIN STORY
ONE FRIEND. TOO MANY OPINIONS.
It started
as a joke.
Growing up in Zimbabwe, Prince was drawn to ideas that brought people together and gave individuality somewhere to breathe.
Boogie Bangers began with his friend Tapiwa Mukoyi. Rap, R&B and whatever had taken over their playlists became Top 5, Top 10 and Top 20 videos. Friendly arguments slowly became a creative direction.
The lists opened the door. Interviews and artist showcases made the room bigger.
