Who we are
Venture is a city-discovery project operated by Boogie Bangers. In this Privacy Policy, “Venture,” “we,” “us” and “our” refer to Venture by Boogie Bangers.
This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain and protect personal information when you visit Venture, contact us, join a future mailing list or use a Venture service that links to this policy.
Venture is currently presented as a Coming Soon service. It does not currently provide user accounts, in-app payments, public reviews or personalized location-based recommendations. This policy will be updated before features materially change how personal information is handled.
Information you provide
We may collect information that you choose to provide, including:
- Your name, email address and other contact details.
- Messages, questions, feedback, corrections, partnership requests and listing inquiries.
- Information submitted by a business, event organizer, venue, artist or other partner.
- Newsletter preferences if you voluntarily subscribe in the future.
- Other information you choose to include in a communication.
Please do not send sensitive personal information unless it is necessary for your request.
Website and performance information
Hosting and analytics providers may process limited technical or usage information, such as pages viewed, approximate country or region, referring source, browser and device information, visit timing, traffic patterns and website-performance measurements.
Venture currently uses Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to understand general website traffic and improve loading and performance.
Future Venture features
Before Venture introduces accounts, saved outings, precise location services, personalization, push notifications, user submissions, ticketing, reservations, payments or similar features, we will update this policy and provide additional notices or consent choices where required.
How we use information
- To respond to messages and provide requested information.
- To review business, event, restaurant, venue and partnership submissions.
- To correct or update Venture listings.
- To operate, secure, troubleshoot, measure and improve the website.
- To manage contributors and business relationships.
- To send newsletters or promotional updates where valid consent has been provided.
- To prevent abuse, fraud, security incidents or unlawful use.
- To comply with legal obligations and establish, exercise or defend legal rights.
We will not use personal information for a materially different purpose without notice and consent where required.
Consent and choices
We seek consent appropriate to the information and the context in which it is collected. You may choose not to provide optional information, although we may be unable to respond or provide a requested service without information reasonably necessary to do so.
You may withdraw consent to future use of personal information, subject to legal, contractual, recordkeeping or operational restrictions. Withdrawal does not affect uses that were lawful before consent was withdrawn.
Newsletters and promotional messages
Venture will not automatically add you to a promotional mailing list merely because you contacted us.
A future newsletter subscription will be voluntary. Messages will identify the sender, include contact information and provide a working unsubscribe method. We may retain limited suppression information to avoid adding an unsubscribed address back to a promotional list.
How we share information
We do not sell or rent personal information.
We may disclose limited information to:
- Hosting, analytics, email, security, storage and other providers supporting Venture.
- Contractors or professional advisers who need access for legitimate Venture work and are expected to protect it.
- A successor organization connected with a financing, reorganization, merger, transfer or sale of Venture or relevant assets.
- Governmental, regulatory, law-enforcement or legal authorities where required or permitted by law.
- Another party when you direct us or provide consent.
Providers may process information in Canada or other countries. Information processed elsewhere may be subject to that country’s laws and lawful access requirements.
Public business and event information
Venture may display public or partner-provided information about businesses, venues, restaurants, events, organizers and public-facing professionals. This can include business names, public contact details, locations, hours, event details and social links.
A person or business may request a correction, update or review of a listing. We may request reasonable information to verify the request.
Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to inquiries, maintain records, manage permissions, resolve disputes, prevent abuse and satisfy legal or accounting obligations.
When information is no longer reasonably required, we may delete, anonymize or securely dispose of it.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of information in our control. No website, email account, storage service or transmission method is completely secure, so please avoid sending highly sensitive information through ordinary email.
Access, correction and deletion requests
Subject to applicable law, you may ask whether we hold personal information about you, request access, correct inaccurate information, withdraw consent to certain future uses or request deletion where appropriate.
We may need to verify your identity. Certain information may need to be retained where required by law, necessary to protect legal rights or necessary to honour an unsubscribe request.
Children and young people
Venture is intended for a general audience and is not designed to collect personal information from children who cannot provide meaningful consent. A future feature directed to children will use an age-appropriate consent process and obtain consent from a parent, guardian or authorized person where appropriate.
Third-party services
Venture may link to restaurants, venues, organizers, ticketing and reservation services, maps, social platforms or other third-party websites. Those services operate under their own privacy policies. Venture is not responsible for an independent third party’s practices after you leave our website.
Cookies and similar technologies
Venture does not currently use advertising cookies or behavioural advertising trackers. It currently uses Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights for general traffic and performance measurement.
If Venture later adds cookies, advertising technology, embedded services or analytics that materially change visitor tracking, we will update this policy and provide additional notices or choices where required.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Venture develops, legal requirements change or new services are introduced. The revised policy will be posted with a new effective date. Material changes to how personal information is collected, used or disclosed will receive additional notice and consent where required.
